"A good photograph is knowing where to stand."
- Ansel Adams
I have a love affair with photography. Since I was little, I admired
the iconic images captured by great photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon, and Ansel Adams. However, it wasn't until
my mid-twenties when I really focused on becoming a photographer myself.
In 2005, I started Music:Underground Magazine - a
very popular local music magazine. With the purpose of covering and promoting the regional scene, I acquired my shooting skills
in the dark concert venues around town. This was a tremendous experience as it didn't just allow me to work with so many talented
musicians in the area - including Grammy winners and other national acts - it helped me develop my own style and technique
as a photographer.
Not too long after that I had the stressful experience of trying to find a wedding photographer.
Frustrated with the limited options and exorbitant rates they were demanding in the area, I decided to start offering my
unique style and talents to this high pressure world of wedding photography... and I never looked back.
My style is
a little bit of everything. As a wedding photographer, it has to be. From the elegant formal portraits to the tender candid moments,
I capture it all. My friendly, laid-back attitude keeps the mood relaxed and spirits high, allowing me to capture the love and romance
of the day - all those beautiful moments that will last a lifetime.
I sincerely love what I do... and believe it shows in the
images I capture.
